Location
The Occidental Grand Teguise Playa hotel is located directly at the beach of the small bay of El Jablillo, within the quiet and exclusive area of Costa Teguise. The distance to the Airport is only 14 km, 10 km away from the capital Arrecife, and 2 km from the Costa Teguise Golf Club.The numerous beaches are well maintained. La Cucaras has excellent facilties including parking, a boardwalk and wheelchair access. Other beaches include Los Charcos, El Jabillo and Bastián.
Access
Good access in and around hotel. Costa Teguise is a new and relatively barrier free resort. Five wheelchair accessible rooms, which have been adapted with larger doors. The bathrooms include baths with grab rails.
Accommodation
All 314 air conditioned rooms have twin or double beds, en suite bathroom, local and satellite TV, minibar with water(refilled every 3 days), telephone, hairdryer, air conditioning, safety deposit box, piped music, furnished balcony or terrace.
Facilities
The 24 hour reception desk can provide any information required. There's a laundry service, lounge, library, TV room, hairdresser and beauty salon, souvenir shops, communicated rooms, lockers. Additional services include babysitting, car rental, excursions, tennis and squash coaching, fax service, sport equipment rental. There is a playground area and a minidisco. The hotel has two lounges, Tenerife and Gran Canaria which offer audio-visual systems required.
Within the grounds there are tennis courts, table tennis, a squash court, mini-golf, giant chess board, a gymnasium, Jacuzzi, aerobics, massage, sauna. There are two seawater swimming pools(one heated) and a seawater one for children with wide sun terraces, loungers and parasols. In addition there's billiards, petanque, archery, basket ball, handball, volleyball and futbito. The Fun Club team organise a daytime entertainment program(not on Sunday) which includes shuffleboard, darts, sjoelen, shooting, gymnastics in the pool, aerobics and a weekly management cocktail. There's also a nightly activity program with evening shows. There are occasional professional shows – such as acrobatics, magic, folklore, contortionists – and Fun Club shows – such as dance contests, Broadway and karaoke. For children from 4 to 12 years old there is a miniclub. Children from 0 to 4 years old may use the Fun Club supervised by their parents.
