Location
The Sol Lanzarote hotel offers a peaceful beachfront location in Matagorda, simple self catering accommodation and plenty of entertaiment and activities, just perfect for families. Shopping Centre 200 meters away. Bus stop 100 meters from the hotel. 3 km distance from Puerto del Carmen, 5 km from the airport, 17 km from the Costa Teguise golf course, and with easy access to the most important tourist attractions on the island.
Lanzarote is a relatively small island and easy to explore by car. Roads which cross the volcanic terrain, taking you through unspoilt villages and dramatic scenery, are immaculate and a pleasure to drive. A visit to the unique Timanfaya National Park is a must as it is just a camel ride into the volcanic hinterland! The unspoilt island of Fuerteventura is a short ferry ride away (and visible from Playa Blanca). Ferries sail each way several times a day.
Access
Good access around the hotel and the paseo. Area is relatively flat, apart from a medium slope out of the hotel onto the main street.5 Rooms adapted for wheelchair use. These have roll in showers with grab rails. The entrance leading up to the rooms is accessed via the swimming pool and the ramp is quite steep.

Facilities
Three swimming pools (one has a ramp and one is heated in winter). For the children there is a paddling pool. Sun beds and umbrellas are surrounding the pool area. The hotel has an entertainment programme and a wide range of facilities is available: ping-pong, darts, shooting range, volleyball, shuffleboard, two tennis courts and games room. Meeting halls for up to 110 guests. Within the resort you can also find a supermarket, boutique and a car park.
