Location
The MedPlaya Piramide Salou, built in 2002, was incorporated into the MedPlaya.com chain in April 2011. This modern, fully air conditioned, 4* hotel which gets its name from its central glass pyramid, offers superb facilities for families or couples of all ages. A popular well appointed hotel with excellent amenities. The open lobby, spacious rooms, wide lifts, friendly staff combine to give an excellent holiday environment for the disabled traveller.
Salou is ideally placed just approx 50 minutes from Barcelona and just five minutes from Universal Studios Port Aventura. Enjoy all the same type of rides that are available in Universal in the States except this is right on your doorstep! The hotel MedPlaya Piramide Salou, is an ideal choice for your summer holiday offering excellent service, quality and value for money.
Access
Disabled facilities include wheel-in showers in the bathrooms. There is access to the pool by a hoist, and there is good access in and around the hotel. Manoeuvring around the hotel and pool area is relatively barrier-free but there are some narrow and uneven pavements to avoid outside the hotel grounds.
Accommodation
The 230 guest rooms are spacious and well equipped with all of the modern amenities you would expect of a hotel of its class and all have a spacious private terrace where guests can relax and soak up the sun with views of Salou or the swimming-pool. Rooms have a private bathroom with hair-dryer, towel heater, air-conditioning/heating, SAT TV, safety deposit box. Limited number of rooms specially adapted for disabled people. Baby cots are available.
Facilities
Gym, two outdoor swimming-pools, one of them for children, TV and games rooms. Every day there is an entertainment program for adults and children (championships organised by the entertainment staff and include table tennis, billiard, darts, water polo, etc.) There are special shows in the evening (bingo, live music).

There is a buffet-style restaurant serving a selection of appetising dishes at breakfast, lunch and dinner and the poolside snack bar offers light snacks and cooling refreshments throughout the day. Half Board and Bed and Breakfast options are available.
