Location
The elegant Arona Gran Hotel, from its privileged position on the seaside promenade, facing the island of La Gomera, offers beautiful views of the bay and the old fishing port of Los Cristianos and is only 4 km from the golf course. The spacious public areas of the hotel, with glass covered arcades and interior fountains, are bathed by light and surrounded by lavish vegetation. It offers excellent cuisine, attention to detail and impeccable service. The hotel overlooks the seafront promenade and the beach with private access from the hotel to the beach via a lift. Just the right place to enjoy the sun, the beach and some golf. The hotel is 16 km away from Reina Sofía airport, 600 m away from the centre of Los Cristianos and only 4km away from the golf course. The hotel was built in 1990 and renovated in 2006.
Access
Access is good in and around the complex. Although the surrounding area is fairly flat, the resort centre and seaside are down an incline. There are accessible taxis to the local town of Los cristianos. The sea front paseo is relatively flat and stretches all the way to the neighbouring resort of Playa de Las Americas.
Accommodation
Within the hotel guests will find 391 comfortable and spacious twin bedded rooms (including 42 rooms with double beds and 12 Junior Suites), with private terrace. Some rooms have a pool or a sea view, some have both.. The bedrooms are decorated with classic wood furniture, crisp bed linen and creamy walls. Satellite TVs come as standard, with little extras like bathrobes and slippers thrown in. All rooms are fully equipped with air conditioning, minibar, direct ial telephone, satellite TV, piped music and safety deposit box. The bathrooms are also fully equipped with bathrobe, hairdryer, radio stations and music TV. A pillow menu, laundry and dry cleaning service are also available.

Outside, the landscaped grounds are full of clustered palms and brightly-coloured blooms. At the centre are two curvy pools, surrounded by terraces and pretty yellow parasols. There’s a separate children’s pool, and an à la carte restaurant out here, too. At lunch it serves up everything from pizzas to ice- reams, plus there’s a salad bar and grill. Complimentary deckchairs, sunshade and towel service are available. There is also a sauna, gymnasium and 2 squash courts. There is a varied entertainment programme daily & nightly: including professional shows and orchestra every night. Further entertainment can be found in the bridge room and the games room with billiards and ping pong and a disco. The hotel offers clients free internet WiFi access in the public areas (such as reception) and also in some bars. If you bring your laptop with you, just turn it on, and surf at no extra charge.
